This might not look like the most exciting skein of yarn but I'm so proud of this spin that I just finished.

It's the most balanced and consistent yarn that's come off my wheel so far and I think it's going to knit up really nicely - yay!

I used the short backwards draw method to spin as finely as I could whilst remaining consistent and I kept checking I wasn't adding too much twist when spinning and then later when plying. I know I have a tendency to over ply rather than under ply so that's something I was conscious to correct with this spin.

As a fairly new spinner I find it hard to categorise my yarn. I looked a three charts that all gave me a different answer as to what kind of yarn I'd spun!

At 198 meters (207 yards) per 100g and 11wpi I think this is a worsted or aran weight yarn.

It seems close in weight and yardage to Biches & Bûches Le Gros Lambswool which is an aran weight wool so I'm happy to call mine aran weight too.
